Services and Pricing

Traditional Guest Lectures

Traditional and laboratory guest lectures can be one to three (1-3) hours based on the topic being covered and the need of the institution. Fields of study include Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Health Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology, Adult Education Math and Science, and Algebra through Precalculus. Special topics include Dosage Calculations, Body Structure and Function, Drug Metabolism, and more. Additionally, traditional guest lectures can be offered virtually at a reduced price. Test preparation sessions are also available for the Math PERT, Math and Science sections of the TEAS, GED Math and Science subtests, GKT Math subtest, and more.

Laboratory Guest Lectures

While similar to traditional guest lectures, these can be hosted in laboratory spaces to incorporate the use of laboratory equipment in the appropriate environment. Dissections, microscopy, and certain biology and chemistry procedures require a laboratory. These sessions are not available for virtual delivery.

Evaluation of Supplemental Instruction and Staff Training Sessions

Most institutions have some form of supplemental instruction. Whether it be in-house or third party contract, tutoring services are typically provided for students. However, assessing the quality and relevance of these services can be difficult. Livingston Learning is also a resource in this area. For tutoring services that are provided in-house, tutor training is something that often falls through the cracks. By offering professional development sessions on a variety of topics, your staff will be better equipped to serve the students. Livingston Learning boasts professional development sessions including Successful Study Strategies, Test Taking Tips, Making Your Job Work for You, Best Practices in Virtual versus Traditional Delivery, Time Management, Inspiring Authentic Engagement, and more (these are one (1) hour sessions). The aforementioned sessions are geared towards to the employee’s interactions with the student as well as the personal growth of the employee.

Additional Support Outside of the Classroom

Students can reach out with any questions they have following sessions and ask questions via email. Students can also schedule thirty (30) minute virtual meetings with the guest lecturer to review difficult concepts and receive additional support (details on availability will be outlined per contract). In special cases, tutoring is also offered. However, tutoring depends on availability, so there is no guarantee this service will be offered every semester.

Pricing

The cost of services varies based on the contract length and type of session (traditional or virtual and lecture or tutoring). Semester-long contracts often provide the best value. Please note that additional costs may apply for certain sessions. Pricing is subject to change depending on the specific needs of the institution or program and the nature of the work being done.
